    Why Sponsor Hull International Carnival?

    The debut Hull International Carnival was launched in 2017 at the Hull UK City of Culture within the Hull Freedom Festival.

    Since then, the Carnival has served predominantly the City’s least developed Ethnic Minority communities, bringing together the City’s diverse Ethnic Minority cultures.

    Recently, with the support of the Arts Council England, we are endeavouring to reach all sections of the community, including the Native English neighbourhoods, who get involved in Carnival Arts, culminating in our annual Carnival Week celebrations on the first Saturday of August.

    However, this has been limited by a lack of resources such as funding, human resources, and Partnerships. Carnival is supported by the Hull City Council as part of City Cultural development.

    For this reason, we need the Voluntary Sector, private companies, schools, NHS, Humberside Police, pubs and restaurants, etc., to sponsor various elements of Carnival. Whether it be a page in the programme or sponsoring a cultural event, Volunteers, there is something for everyone to suit all businesses and all budgets.
